Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty joined Bharatiya Janata Party in Kolkata ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally, according to the latest report.  The report stated that PM Modi is to address the rally on Sunday. BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and state chief Dilip Ghosh handed over the party’s flag to the veteran actor on Sunday, as per the reports. Mithun Chakraborty joined BJP at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. The veteran actor vowed to fight for the right of everyone in West Bengal.

Press Trust of India reported on Twitter and tweeted, “Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty joins BJP at Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a rally” According to a report in Indian Express, speaking with the rally, Chakraborty said, “It is a dream that has come true for me today. Coming from a small locality in North Kolkata called Jorabagan, I did dream of becoming something big, but never did I imagine that I will get a chance to share a stage with the biggest political leaders of the country, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

Earlier, Kailash Vijayvargiya made a tweet and shared pictures from his meet with Mithun Chakraborty on Saturday. The BJP national general secretary shared happy photos with Chakraborty from their candid conversations and revealed that the veteran actor shared stories of patriotism and love for the poor with him. Kailash Vijayvargiya had met Chakraborty at his residence in Belgachia on Saturday. Take a look at the tweets below:
